Terms of Use
CropViewer is free and provided as-is. These terms set out what that means for both of us.
1. Acceptance
By using cropviewer.net or the application hosted on it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
2. The service
CropViewer is a free, browser-based image viewer and cropper. It requires no account and no payment. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time, and we may update these terms as described in section 8.
3. Your files stay yours
You keep all rights to the images you open. We claim no ownership, licence or interest in them whatsoever. As described in the Privacy Policy, your files are processed entirely within your browser and are never transmitted to us, so we never come into possession of them in the first place.
You are responsible for having the right to use the images you open, and for what you do with the results.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use this site to break the law, to infringe anyone's rights, or to attack the service — for example by attempting to disrupt it, gain unauthorised access to it, or use automated means to overload it.
5. Back up your work
Where your browser supports it, CropViewer can write files into the folder you open: it can overwrite an image, rename a file, delete one, or extract an archive. These operations act on real files on your disk.
Deleting a file through the app is permanent. A browser has no access to your system's Trash or Recycle Bin, so a deleted file cannot be restored from there. The app asks for confirmation first. Keep backups of work you cannot afford to lose.
6. No warranty
CropViewer is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular file will decode or encode correctly.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, or for any loss of data, files, profits or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of this site — including data loss caused by the file operations described in section 5.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
8. Changes
These terms may be revised. The current version is always the one on this page, with its "last updated" date. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
9. Third-party content
This site may display third-party advertising and may link to third-party sites. We do not control that content and are not responsible for it. See the Privacy Policy for how advertising cookies are handled.
